Standing Seam Roof
Standing Seam Metal Roof provides the following benefits:
- Reflects Heat. Metal roof reflects radiant heat from the sun, minimizing midday heat gain. This means that unlike with tile, asphalt shingle, or slate roofs you save energy needed for air conditioning during the day.
- Fire resistance. Because metal roofs are noncombustible, they’re given a Class A fire rating (the most resistant).
- Earthquakes. Are excellent roofing material for earth quake prone zones due to low weight and flexibility. Compared with tile at 800 pounds per square (an area equal to 100 square feet) or concrete tile at 900 pounds per square, metal roofing is lightweight. Most varieties run from 50 to 150 pounds per square.
- Expected life. Properly installed it will last as long or longer than the rest of the house. Also note that unlike tile roofs it doesn't rely on underlayment. Hence, you don't need to change underlayment every 30 years adding to roof maintenance costs. As a matter of fact the underpayment is optional!
- 16 oz., 20, oz. or heavier gauge copper. We manufacture copper panels ourselves unlike others allowing us to offer completive pricing and superior quality.
- Widths available: 12"and 16" with custom sizes and designs possible.
